I would like to know if there are any issues in having two instances of DL on my registration page.  I would like to have general registration in its own container, and facebook connect registration in another container.

Would this be an issue, or can they work together independantly if I add two DL modules to the same page?

I already split out Dyamic Registration and the Facebook connect for login onto the same page (www.parstars.com/Home/Register.aspx), but now want to dual module just Dynamic Login.

    Would that work?

    Hi Donald,
I may have to come back and add to this post but it is my impression that you would not be able to use two different instances of Dynamic Login the way you are hoping. The reason is that when Dynamic Login is used one has to replace DNN Login so one or the other has to be the active one. I think you would run into the same issue with two separate instances of DL. One or the other has to be the active one. I have asked for verification on this here in the office so I may get back with you if I find out that I am somehow wrong.

Currently I have two modules in play on the site - one on the registration page and one on the login page. The login page was the original, and to put it on the registration I used the copy module with settings option in DNN, and changed the template to show Facebook Connect only.

Currently I can use either facebook connect option to log in (but it was an already registrered account).

I will try to try from scratch on each of the options now.

If what I have in place now doesn't work, then certainly furthering the strategy by splitting it out on the login page definitely won't work.

So in my test, I was able to successfully create a user account from my Registration page via facebook connect in the Login module copy. I then used it to connect from the login page too. No issues there.

I did note that while both modules were set as "use facebook id" for the username, that it was taking another name instead. For example, Par Starsdeals became parstarsdeals as the user id in the system. I was able to post, use active social and forums, etc.

So, stage one worked, with one odd element of the name rather than facebook ID (which previously was a string of numbers).

    Hi Donald,
I didn't get a feed on your response so this delay in responding is due to that. I have looked up some information that might help in solving the Facebook Connect questions that you have. There is in the setup a need to check the authenticate user with matching email address. you might want to check on that setting.

Your question states that a user named Par Starsdeals became parstarsdeals. This change sounds something like maybe in the dynamic login setup there was a crossover for user name for user id or something like that. Was this happening in more than one instance?

Also there is on www.DNNHero.com some very nice videos on setting up FaceBook connectivity to Dynamic Login. Registration is free. These videos may help.

Thanks and sorry for the delay.
