    Hi all,

I have just added a child portal to our site and setup the single sign-on functionality which is working great with standard DNN user accounts.

Both Portals have Dynamic Login setup with Facebook Integration.

When I Login with a Facebook account for the first time from the child portal, everything works great and I can login to the master portal using the same FB account.

The problem I'm having is when I login to the master portal first.  When I then go to the child portal and try to login with the same FB account the page refreshes but doesn't login.

I've tried this with several facebook accounts, including a brand new one I setup just a few minutes ago and the same thing happens.

    Please help.

    Thanks,
    Greg

    Hi Chad,

Have you had chance to look into this?

    Cheers,

Hi Greg - You might need to have a separate configuration on the child portal (meaning separate user accounts as well) based on the username prefix. So maybe if you have a username prefix of parent_ and a prefix of child_ then they would be able to sign in. If you are trying to share the accounts (and have real true "Single Sign On" I don't believe this single sign on features of Dynamic Login currently support the integration for single sign on as well as Facebook / Twitter / Linked In. This might be something we need to research offering in the future. Right now the social integration is very unique with how it works so I don't think many of the same features work the same as the standard login (such as role redirect rules, post SQL events, etc...)

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hi Chad,

Did you have chance to 'research' this?

    Cheers,
    Greg

    Hi Chad,

I've just worked out where the problem is, it isn't creating the entry in tables dbo.UserPortals & dbo.Profile

By adding an extra entry for each portal for a user that couldn't log on before resolves it for that user.

Any chance you can fix this? Or send me instructions on putting a sql trigger in place as a workaround?

    Cheers,
    Greg

Hi Greg - So basically this is related to using SSO combined with the Facebook integration?

    Thanks,

    Chad
