I'm not sure if anyone has noticed, but when you delete a listing the pictures remain orphaned on the web server. This will quickly cause site space issues as old files are left behind. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Ideally, it would be nice to have a script that deleted any pictures that are not listed in the database. Then run the script once a month to purge old files.
Obviously this will be a problem, because SQL does not generally have rights to access the file system. Perhaps an FTP solution or ???

    Hi,
What you are describing may be a bug in that it was not accounted for in the development of the module. Leaving orphans is a bad practice even if it doesn't throw an error in the application. I will be submitting this to the support team for further review. In the mean time can you please let me know what version of DNN you are on and what version of the Real Estate Module that you are working with.
    Thanks

My mistake, it seems that the pictures do delete. I had added the delete function on my custom edit page which, of course can't delete file objects. However, deleting from the "My listings" page is a real pain because there is no search or sort function. An agent with many listings has to look through them all to find the one to delete. The "My Listings" page uses the command: "javascript:__doPostBack('dnn$ctr562$MyListings$dgMyListing$ctl03$lnkDelete','')" to delete the listing. Is there any way I can incorporate that into another page? It would need some way of getting the record ID into the command.
