    Greetings,

I just installed Flash Image Rotator on DNN 4.9.4 and ran into a problem.  I added the module to a page and set it up with a few images.  On viewing the page, the Flash plugin shows "Movie not loaded..." when I right-click it.

Looking at the page source, I see the problem.  Our web server is behind a load balancer (one of the BIG-IP models from F5) which does port rewriting.  An HTTP request coming into the load balancer on the usual port 80 will be sent to the web server on a non-standard port (in our case, 10123).  The web server listens on port 10123, but that port shouldn't appear on any URLs in the HTML that a DNN module generates.  The module should write URLs without specifying the port number.

To test this, I created a simple static page with the module's HTML output, but with the port numbers removed.  I saved this on the web server, and loaded in my browser, and it works.

From our own DNN module writing experience, I know that DNN's GetDomainName function can be called with an extra boolean argument that controls whether the port number is stripped from the URL it returns.

If the developers read this forum, could someone check into this?  I think it would fix the problem.

    Thanks!

    Carl,

Hi. Thanks for reporting this. At first glance I was able to review the code and see that the module is calling the GetDomainName function and is not currently passing that additional parameter. We will have to review this further though before we can get a patch out, specifically because the module was built in VS2003 to support both DNN 3.x and 4.x and I am not sure if this overloaded function call was avaliable within DNN 3.x. For each new release we are moving code to VS2005 so its possible that it could take a few weeks before we release the version that supports this.
