    Hi;

    First thanks to some great module you are offering. I am just doing SEO on my site and noticed that this is missing from DUR. It would be great if you could edit following meta tags.

    - Page Title
    - Page Description
    - Keywords

    The way I see it is where you currently edit the template for list and detail you could add a section SEO, where the admin can specify text but also be able to include the tags. The meta tags should be used in the detail view and not in list view.

    Another thing that would make the module more search engine friendly is to always use the same link when viewing the detail information. Currently you include the page number in the query string, this can lead to multiple links pointing to the same detail record.

    Can you please let me know if above is feasible to add to the module?

    Hi. Thanks for your suggestions and comments. We have added these to review for future updates. Wouldn't you be able to change the page title, description, and keywords just like any other page on DNN? Or are you wanting it to change the page title based on the users name or something? This way the meta tags could potentially be a users hobbies or other profile fields? Is this what you mean?

    Also... Could you maybe provide me with a few examples of the details page including the page numbers and so forth? I didn't know it included that, it should include the UserID but not the page numbers going to the detail view as far as I know.

    Hi Chad, thanks for the reply.
    Yes you can specify the meta tag information in DNN, but this means it is the same for every profile and this is not what you want when it comes to SEO. Ideally every page should have a unique relevant to the contents title, keywords, description. So in our case it would meant the title will the the persons name, description will be a short description the user enters on his profile etc.

    Regarding page number, this is the link I get on our testsite when I use the tag [UserDetailLink]

    You can see the query string parameter duser_p/2 which got appended when I click on the detail information on page 2. However when it comes to SEO you ideally want to use only one unique URL. I changed this on our production site and construct the URL myself to give me this result:

    I believe if you can implement these changes together with getting the modules XHTML compliant you will have one of the best modules on the market.

    Thank you very much for your great enhancement requests. I am happy to let you know that both of your requests have been added to the upcoming 3.0 release this next week. The paging is now using AJAX style methods and doesn't use querystring variable and the details view can not optionally include templated titles, descriptions, and keywords for the HTTP meta tags. Thanks again!

    Hi Chad;
    I would like to upgrade to DR 3.0 so I can use the new features. However it does not come up in Snowcovered under Patches and Updates. How can I get an update for this module?

    I purchased the data springs collection on the 31st March 09.

    Did you check in the downloads section also?
