    I just purchase Tailored Text/HTML 2.2 and installed on my DNN 5.2. So far the isntallation run good but when I add this module to my page to display a message for unauthorized user that has a few sessions and querystring tokens but the message display cut off like this

    Dear $(firstname),

    This is a message for me.

    If above is my full message

    THen when it display on the page, it displays liek this

    Dear

    The rest of it is gone.

    What is wrong here?

    HI, that's very strange. Can you copy/paste your configuration settings for the session and querystring variables here? Also, what is your SQL binding statement?

    Another quick test, how about removing the token $(firstname) from the message and just type in two sentences and see if the sentences display correctly without binding to any tokens? -- David

    Sounds to me that maybe $(FirstName) is not getting rendered... for unauthenticated users... I am wondering if maybe this is throwing an error then because you are using tokens that maybe are reserved for when a user is signed in?

    A few other questions...
    1. Does the template appear again properly when you go into edit the content?
    2. Does the template work when you are signed in?
    3. Is FirstName a session variable or anything? Did you define it as a session variable?

    Sounds to me like maybe its throwing an error after $(Token) if you are unauthenticated and therefore that user token isn't available?

    Something really strange now.

    Right now, I am not even able to save the Content for unauthorized. Whatever text I put in the editor, then click on update link at the bottom, it still return back to "Add UnAuthorize Content..." and it erased all my text.

    I am putting $(firstname) from a session from Dynamic Form. Online donation and after the form submitted, it goes to this thank you. So firstname is a session variable

    Can you help me to solve this?

    This is too weird.
    I switched to use google Chrome then I am able to save the content

    Candace, youa re right $(firstname) is a DNN token, so that is why it is not showing.

    Finally, I got it resolved.

    You're right, very weird. I'm not aware of this happening to anybody (ie. not being able to save the contents on IE or FireFox) and being able to save only in Google chrome. Perhaps try clearing IE/Firefox temp and history files to see if it still behaves this way. -- David
