    Hi Chad and David,

All of a sudden, something broke with the Dynamic Image Rotator on my home page.  The flash image is running great on Firefox.  On IE7 when I go to my homepage I get two errors and the image is invisible.

IE gives the following two errors:

    Line 23: Char: 2265 Error: Expected '}' Code: 0
Line: 24 Char: 9 Error: 'jQuery' is undefined Code: 0

Here is the source for the selection (taken from firefox):

    [td id="dnn_RightPane3" class="RightPane3"][a name="533"][/a][div id="dnn_ctr533_ContentPane" class="DNNAligncenter"][!-- Start_Module_533 --][div id="dnn_ctr533_ModuleContent" class="Flash Image RotatorContent"]
    [object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" id="DataSprings_FlashRotator" height="280" width="350"][param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain"][param name="align" value=""][param name="wmode" value="transparent"][param name="loop" value="true"][param name="salign" value="tl"][param name="movie" value="http://techwise-research.com/desktopmodules/Flash Image Rotator/DataSprings_FlashRotator.swf?cachekill=461&version=3.0&filename=/Portals/0/DataSprings_FlashImageRotator_533_29ef7c81_a671_42cd_ba7a_a163b626f275.xml"][param name="quality" value="High"][param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF"][embed src="http://techwise-research.com/desktopmodules/Flash%20Image%20Rotator/DataSprings_FlashRotator.swf?cachekill=461&version=3.0&filename=/Portals/0/DataSprings_FlashImageRotator_533_29ef7c81_a671_42cd_ba7a_a163b626f275.xml" wmode="transparent" quality="High" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" name="DataSprings_FlashRotator" allowscriptaccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" salign="tl" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" height="280" width="350"][/object]

Any ideas what happened?  I would like to get this fixed quickly since it appears on my home page.  Thanks!

    Chip

Here is an update. My ISP found a problem with jquery. They fixed it and the error went away. Unfortunately, the flash is still invisible in IE7. Any ideas?

    Hi Chad and David,

My ISP confirms that the flash is invisible in IE7 and IE8. They are suggesting that I reinstall the module. If I do that will I lose all of my settings for the flash on my home page? What do you think of this idea?

HI Chip, my recommendation would be to just install the program again without uninstalling it though. This way, you can choose the option to repair and perhaps it can fix the problem. If you uninstall and reinstall, all the data will be lost and you will have to go in and reconfigure again. -- David
