Hi Chad,
We have an import situation where the registered user has a field (certified organic farm products) that they cannot update. So our plan is once per month to take this field plus their username (from a separate in-house database that we imported the DNN username field into) to match up an import and just change that one field on the website.
Problem is that we tried on a test site (thankfully) and the import with those 2 fields replaced the firstname, lastname, displayname and email with nothing. Just deleted those fields. It did seem to work for the products field though.
Do we have to import those fields too (firstname, lastname, displayname and email)? That would be bad as people in the community (Active Social) have access to change those fields on the website but then there is a separate database in house that has those certified products and they might have outdated email addresses, etc. and we would be importing old data over things they might have recently changed.
thanks,
Will
