more roles from one field in de csv?

    Hej there,

    our company has many members who are active in one or more sections. These sections are now also roles in our DNN, and i am trying to give the members the right roles bij de interactive user import, but i got stuck there.

    in the user profile the section code will show. Every section has a letter and if someone is active in more than one section, the letters are placed behind each other, like:

    Name Section
    Jan A
    Kees AGH
    Piet GX

     I tried SQL wise to put these letters with % in the role event (step 3 of 5), but that didnt work. is there some way that i can give everyone the right role, without adding all seperate sections to the profile?

    Hi, in your particular case, this would be somewhat difficult to accomplish. So if Kees as "AGH", he/she should be added to 3 roles, I'm I reading this correct? -- David

    HI, in this case, I would most likely not include the logic during the Interactive User Import. You would still import the "SECTION" field and tie it to DNN Core profile field, but I would reserve the role addition to just purely running a stored procedure under host / sql or SQL management studio to add the user to roles based on what is under the Section.

    I guess you would need to retrieve the "SECTION" column for each USERID, and then loop through the "SECTION" character by character and add that user to the "userroles" table.
