     Hi,

Dont mean to hijack this one...but I am in the same boat with PayFlow pro. I recently opened a site and assumed that we were capturing the response from payflow and I could mine it later to get the paypal ID. I had a little meltdown just now when I realized I have nearly 500 recurring payments but have no way to connect the userid to the paypal id. .

Is the transaction info mentioned above also available for Payflow?

    fingers crossed.

    Hi Daniel,

I split your post into a separate thread because I did not want your comments to get lost in that other conversation.

You should be able to see additional details when you log into your PayFlow Pro Manager account.  Thanks!

Right, i can see all the additional details..but what i don't have on the DNN side is the ProfileID which is the key for all other paypal transactions with this account. Its returned with the response initially and i thought it was saved somewhere in the DR tables. (I should have checked)

In order to cancel a recurring payment, update clients information, etc you must have this profileID so i REALLY need this.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Daniel,

Looks like we're preparing a Dynamic Registration patch tht would include a new token for SQL and Completion Events:  $(PayFlowProTransactionID)

We can get this to you before the actual release if you need it now.  Please use the Contact Us Support form to request it and include your inovice ID and the URL to this forum thread as a reference.  Thanks!

Sorry to jump in on this conversation but Im trying to set up a similar system of subscriptions that the user/or us can edit or cancel the subscription through the DNN portal and the DR modules.
Im trying to figure out the best process for setting this up and need to know what payment system to use. I would love some advice on this and it looks like from the statements above there is still some ongoing conversations.
Is PayFlow Pro the way to go here? If so why, above standard PayPal business?

If there is a patch needed also please let us know/

    Thanks

I went with PayFlow because they seemed to have better options (paymentstartdate, one time payments, trial periods, etc). i believe paypal business you will still need to send them to the paypal site, which some people dont like.

The payflow gateways stuff in DR and DF has worked perfectly and I couldn't be happier. There is one response variable that will be available after that patch which will make it even better in regards to recurring payments. Until that point there is just a manual process i run once a day. To synch up payflow accounts with mine.

    Hi Sentient,

You may want to consider regular PayPal if PayFlow Pro is not available there.  Your user will still have to cancel the subscription from their PayPal account but you can offer a link that will bring up subscriptions from your site when they log in.  This will make it more conveniet for the customer.  You can also create a completion event to cancel registration tied to the Cancel Subscription IPN so the user registration can be cancelled from your site if you receive this IPN.

Another option to consider is Authorize.net.  Hope that helps!

In reading this thread I notice that on 04/28/2010 Candace mentioned that they are adding another Token that can be used  for SQL and Completion Events called:   $(PayFlowProTransactionID).

    Was this ever done?

I need this information in the worst way to control who gets processed each month.

    Thanks,
    Dennis R. Ashe

    BTW, I am using DNN 6.2.2 & DR 4.20.11.

It would be great if the Result String coming Back from PayPal PayFlow Pro was all captured in a Token so that we could parse it and write it to a Transaction Log File.

That way we would know why it was Declined or if there was an Error then we could let out customers know what the problem was.

However, right now the most important thing we need it the PNREF Number so that we can process future Orders using the Transaction Reference #.

On 04/28/10 Candace mentioned that you were making the $(PayFlowProTransactionID) token available in a new release and I can find no reference to it in this newest version of Dynamic Reg.

Is this available so we can use it in SQL and Completion events?

    Hi Dennis,

Yes, as I understand from our dev team, the token $(PayFlowProTransactionID) has been available for use in SQL and Email events since Dynamic Registration 4.1.

You might want to create a separate email event to send to your admin only with details of the transaction plus this token.

    Thanks!

Is is only available in Production mode?  I have tried to use it in Test Mode and I do not get anything to use for a SQL or Completion Event.  Shouldn't it show up in the Tokens List on the right of the Rich Text Editor as well when you go to create an Email Completion Event?

As I said I want to capture this and write it to a table so we can use it for future Purchases.

    Thanks,

    Dennis Ashe

I am having no luck with the PayFlow Pro processing in either Prodcution or Pilot Test Site modes.

I never see any activity in our Clients Account in the PayPal Manager Portal and I never see any results in the $(PayFlowProTransactionID) Token.

Here is the String I am sending in the PayFlow Pro Parameters field:

    &TXNTYPE=S&TENDER=C&ACCT=$(CardNum)&EXPDATE=$(ExpMo)$(ExpYr)&AMT=10.00&CVV2=$(CVVCode)&FIRSTNAME=$(CardFName)&LASTNAME=$(CardLName)&STREET=$(CardAdr)&CITY=$(CardCity)&STATE=$(CardState)&ZIP=$(CardZip)&COUNTRY=$(Country)&COMMENT1=$(UserID)

I have created a Admin Email that is sent to me that displays all of the Credit Card information on the Form and everything is as I would expect. I have tried my own Credit Cards Test Cards but I get no value for the $(PayFlowProTransactionID) Token.

Also, even if this were working since you never see any response you do not know if there was an Error, a Decline, an Approval and the Customer still gets into the database regardless even though we have received no Approval.

I have wasted a lot of time on this over the last week and your documentation seems to be strong on the PayPal Gateway integration but weak on the PayFlow Pro integration.

I would really appreciate some help here.
    Thanks,
    Dennis Ashe
