    I have the total cost figure in a read only text box. The value is put in there by the client side event of combo box elsewhere on the form.

    I'm in test mode for payment processing with Auth.net. The total cost box has a value when I click submit to test the payment. But the form returns saying "A valid amount is required." and I can see the total cost text box being cleared before my eyes. Other combo boxes on the page revert back to their defaults too. Not good.

    How do I keep the total cost value in there long enough to process the payment?

    Hi, for starters, can you make the total cost figure NOT read only. Then when it does process properly, convert instead to a HIDDEN FIELD and add a Text/HTML field to display the total amount instead. -- David
