I have Dynamic Forms 2.1 and I do not see a way to use a dynamic form field for the "ReplyTo" of the email that is sent.  It just drops in the email of the forum administrator.

    Can this be done?

    Thanks, -p

Hi. Do you mean Dynamic Forms or Dynamic Registration? Within Dynamic Forms there is a to and a from address within the Dynamic Events area. Also, if you want to make the to or from address a form field you can use the shortfield name of that field wraped around the $() tags:

    Example:
    1. Setup a new Dynamic Email Event
    2. Set the from email address to be YourEmail@yoursite.com
    3. Set the to email to be: $(YourFieldName)

You should also use the parameter in the from field instead of the to if you wanted to. These dynamic email events should work for both Dynamic Forms and Dynamic Registration and not require anything custom.

I am just using Dynamic Forms 2.1. And looking at the events, I see an "Email To" and an "Email Subject" field but not any way to specify the "Email From" or the "Email Reply To". Am I missing it? Is there perhaps an $(ReplyTo) parameter I can use or perhaps a hidden field I can set?

    Thanks again,
    -p

I do apologize! After reviewing this in more detail I see what you are saying with no ability to set the from email address. I will make sure this is available within the next minor or major release of the module.

Hi. This enhancement is ready now for the next release. My only concern is that many email clients will not just allow the from address to be any address. If this turns out to be a big issue we might have to make the from address and the reply to address different? What do you think?

Is this available yet?  I need to be able to modify the from email address from a form variable.

I quess I should have said that I can't get it to work.  It doesn't seem to recognize the variables when you use them in the From field.

Has anyone found an answer to this?

When I put $(Email) in the "Email to" field of my completion/mail event, I get $(Email) in the Reply To line of the e-mail.

I get the dynamic emails to format perfectly, save the 'subject line.'

My subject in the refer-a-friend I just created displays, "$(UserID) thinks...."

I wrote this off to not being able to use variables in the subject line, but they are acceptable in the to and from, etc.

Is it possible to use tokens in the subject line?

Is there a way for me to add CC and BCC addresses to the dynamic emails?

    Thank you.
