I have a file upload field in a form and they files are being uploaded successfully to the DynamicForms_Uploads directory on the server. However, even if I'm logged in as the Host account, I can't access that directory to download the files. I have to log in via FTP and then I can see them.

Is there some folder permissions setup I need to do?

Hi. This can happen because the file names you see under admin, file manager are rendered via the database. You need to check the box in the upper right hand corner of the file manager to 'Sync files with file system and database' You might want to check the recursive action too.

In the future, I believe you can setup something under host settings to specify a DNN Scheduler that can run maybe every 10 minutes or every hour or so that will handle this for you so that they are always in sync.

    Thanks!

    Thanks, Chad. That worked.

Now, follow up question - why don't the links to the files in the "View form results" page work? It's going to be really tedious for my client to match up the files by these GUIDs.

Hi Jon - It should be... Do the links not work at all or do they just not match up? ARe you running on the most recent build of Dynamic Forms which is 03.40.30?

    Thanks,

    Chad

It brings back a 404 Not Found error. I'm using version 3.40.10.

    Hello John,

Can you please let me know what the link looks like?? Possibly the link is being rendered incorrectly.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks and sorry for the delayed response.

    Hello,

We gave up on the last form and have a need for this again. It's still not working. The files appear to upload but do not show up anywhere.

Here is what is displayed in the form results:
    http://www.newea.org/Portals/6/Dyna...f22040.pdf

But the actual link to go to this file upload is:
    http://www.newea.org/Portals/6/DynamicForms_Uploads/http://www.newea.org/Portals/6/Dyna...f22040.pdf

When I go to that directory using file manager, the file is not there. Clicking the synchronize link doesn't reveal the file.

    Hi Jon,

Can you give us host rights so we can go in there and look under the hood?

Please use the Contact Us form and give us a host login, the URL to your Dynamic Forms page and the URL to this thread for reference. Also include your DF and DNN versions plus the invoice ID. Thanks!
