    Hi,

I created a simple Dyn Form -test form with summary field, image field

and then tried to use Dyn Views to export to PDF

But the PDF shows the filename and not the image ?

For example, for a Real Estate Portfolio of properties, we would enter property info and a few images, then export the list of properties to PDF with the images in the PDF.

    Thanks, Paul

    Followup:

In Dyn Forms: I changed the Image questions ( pic1/pic2 ) to use the full path to the file.

Image File Save Type: Full path to File ( not Filename only )

Dyn Forms detail view does show the images pic1 and pic2

but Dynamic Views shows the image questions: pic1 / pic2 with just the filename
    e.g. 5bbf7c71-e6a7-4a36-95e5-46b6207ed50b.jpg

and the export to pdf just shows the filename too ( no image ).

NOTE: RTF field supports pictures ?

Curiously, i have a rich text field on the form
and I cut and paste some text and image off of msn.com and the image shows in the RTF box and also shows when exporting to PDF !!!

     Thanks, Paul

    Hello Paul,

Make sure you use HTML img tags with the path to the image on your server:

Probably will look something like this:

    www.yoursite.com/portals/0/Dynamic-Forms_Uploads/[tokenForImage]

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Thanks

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

I modified the Dyn Form Question to use File Image Type: filename only

Dyn View Detail Template for 2 image fields pic1 pic2, I added HTML img

    pic1

    pic2

This now shows the Images in the Dyn Views Details Page.

But PDF Export has tokens not subtituted for and thus Images NOT showing !

The PDF Export shows the HTML img text with the tokens [pic1] [pic2] are not substituted for as well as [uniqueid] [userid] tokens.

I will email PDF to you.

    Thanks, Paul

    Hello Paul,

Tokens in the PDF template in Dynamic Views are Case Sensitive.

So if you have a returned column named FirstName and you use the token [firstname] in the PDF template, it won't work. Make sure the case sensitivity is addressed when using these tokens.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
