    Hi everyone,

I have setup both DR & DL for the login and registration on my website. A separate page was created where the user must change the password (when forced by an admin, as set in DL).

However, I would like users to be able to access that page (is not shown in the menu) to change their password.

In the initial DR module I have set the username/password fields to only show at the initial registration so a user can't change it over there.

    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Marc

    Hi Marc,

Yes, you can do this. The simplest way is to add an HTML module above Dynamic Registration that says something like:

Please update your account information below. If you need to change your password, please click here.

    Does that work? Thanks!

    Hi Candace,

That indeed is the simplest way. I was looking for a way to have this done from within DR but this will do.

You said the "simplest way"; does this mean there are alternative ways to accomplish this?
    Regards,
    Marc

Are there any example pages (like dynamic forms) for DR and DL to assist in setting up password/username change?

    Hello Jeff,

Unfortunately there aren't any DR or DL related demonstrations.

I would recommend setting up a Dynamic Registration module and make sure that only FirstName, LastName, UserName, and Password is on the page. But I would hide FirstName and LastName so it seems that Password and Username are the only prompted pieces of information that need to be provided.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

I will do that. The issue I've had adding password and password confirm to a profile update page, the password confirm fails verification and does not display the error message. And, it fails even if the passwords are the same. The password updates if I turn off validation and only use the password box.

I'll go your route before I inquire more about the validation of password confirm. And the changing of passwords.

    Thank you.

Thanks Jeff - You might also let us know a couple other things:

    1. What version of Dynamic Registration are you running on?

    and...

    2. Are you also implementing Tabs/Panels within the module?

    Thanks,

    Chad
