I have a question about custom HTML buttons. Before I start let me explain my objectives.
1) I want to have a save button and a cancel button that both inherit the styles created from an Artisteer skin template.
2) Both buttons need to re-direct to the same page, and need to push the DSParam1 query string value to that page.
I have tried to tackle this by creating custom HTML input buttons and creating a question event that is tied to the button to submit the form. That way I can assign the "art-button" class to the buttons and they look great.
The problem I am having is related to validation. When I use the regular submit button, all of the validation messages display as they should. When I use this custom HTML button method, it does some weird stuff.
- IT displays the validation messages at the top of the form even though "Hide Validation Summary" is checked and "Display validation summary message" is not checked.
- It no longer displays the required field messages under any of the required fields.
Is this a bug, and is there any way to fix this?
