Datagrid not saving successfully to database

    Hello,

    I'm using DF 3.40.41 on dnn4.95, iis7 x64 and sql 2008.

    one of my forms has a few datagrids on it and I'm getting incomplete datagrids saved to the database in some instances.

    When this happens I'm seeing this in the database response field:

    < table border='1px' cellpadding='5' cellspacing='0' class='DynamicForms_DataGrid' style='border: solid 1px Silver

    One of the manifestations of this is that the html email is blank after the question/answer because the table tag isn't closed.

    I'm having difficulty tracking down what the error might be, could someone give me a hint as to where to start looking please?

    Hi Barry,

    Was this an upgrade for fresh installation? More then likely its a truncation issue with the size of the data being stored. For example, the limit for the database field might be 4000 characters but you might be trying to save more then that?

    Hi Chad,

    It's a fresh installation. 

    Thanks for the hint about the field size, unfortunately I have no idea what the user was putting in there, I think I'll have to drop him a line.

    I've looked through the manual and it's not clear to me how I specify the length of a datagrid.  Do I need to?   Looking at some of the responses that I have I can see that there are 250 characters just for the html table definition if you only have one cell in the grid.

    I can see I know that this is a silly question, but I'll ask it anyway: If truncation is the issue is this the sort of truncation that you would expect?  Is it not likely to truncate at 4000 characters?
