I set up an HTTP Form Post completion event. I believe I have the parameters, URL, etc all correct but it doesn't work. I've checked the event log on DNN and it doesn't show an error. Also, an 'email response sent to admin?" is checked and is not being sent to the email address listed as admin.
Where do you log an error when the silent post fails?
thanks, Craig

Hi Craig, Do you have any other completion events set up in the module along with your silent post completion event? If so then see what the sort order is on the silent post completion event and change it to zero and see if that helps. |

Hi Don,
Yes, I have 3 events. I set it to 0, a welcome email to 1 and then the redirect to 3.
The email and redirect work but the post isn't working plus I get no error.
thanks for your help, craig

Hi Craig, I have several suggestions. One is to copy your post setup on betasprings where we can see exactly what you have done. Here you might set up a silent post from another module like Dynamic Forms to the Dynamic Registration module. The other is to check to see if you have followed the user guide information on this feature in Dynamic Registration. If you use betasprings please provide me a link to where you set it up. The user guide says you can receive a silent post. I don't know about sending a silent post in Dynamic Registration. Are you trying to receive a silent post? Assuming you are trying to receive a silent post in Dynamic Forms from another location then from the user guide we have the following example: SPost=True ----> Do you have this feature settup? ShortFieldName=Value -----> Do you have short field names for all fields in the post? The user guide silent post has First Name (FirstN), Last Name (LastN), User Name (UserName), Password (Password), and Telephone Number (Telephone) field values being received and below is how it would look: SPost=True&FirstN=John&LastN=Doe&UserName=JohnDoe&Password=Testing&Telephone=555 -1234 This would be assuming that FirstN, LastN, UserName, Password and Telephone were all ‘short’ field names within Dynamic Registration. A final question? What is your version of DNN and Dynamic Registration? IS DR 4.0 ? Thanks Don |

Hi. I would probably enable debug mode when the fire the completion... This would then spit out the exact URL and the post parameters that are being sent. You might consider reviewing the parameters passed and any other details that show up under the Debug Info. Is this post for new registrations or also updated registrations? Also, I think that the details Don posted above are helpful but that is if you are trying to have Dynamic Registration receive a silent post... it sounds like you are wanting Dynamic Registration to actually send a silent post out right? Thanks, Chad
