    Hi,

I have a problem with showing images, or the link to images from a DF form.

I linked a DV to a DF instance. In The form are 2 image upload fields. How can I show these images in DV?

I've tried to make a hyperlink from the field name, url = [Image].
The url that is produced is not the url where the imaged is stored, but the url of the page where the DV module is on.

If I put HTTP://[image] in the URL, the URL to the image is correct, but it puts an extra http (without the colon) in front.

    http://http//localhost/DNN6/portals/0/images/image.jpg

This happens only with images where the full path was stored with the image in DF.
Where I only use the file name of the image in DF, the url becomes like: http://image.jpg

    Hi Bert,
There isn't much in the forums on this but I think you are on the right track, if this can be done the way you are hoping. Images and videos files are always stored in file locations and then displayed by referencing the link to the path. Since you are getting double "http" in the image path could your problem be that you have a path stored wrong in the image field for your table. It should look something like this: /portals/0/images/ImageName.jpg ( with ImageName being the name of the image and images being the name of the folder for your images)

There is a Betasprings sample that looks like what you are trying to do. Check out this link:
    http://www.betasprings.com/DynamicV...fault.aspx

Through Host>SQL I queried the table for what is in the fields of the table there and that is how I got the type of path I am suggesting for storing in the table.

    Thanks

    Hello Don,

    Thank you for your reply.

Yes, all of my questions and problems were solved by the help of the forums, but I couldn't find a clue on this one.

I had to experiment a lot, but I finally was able to show the images and the image links.

I was assuming I only had to manipulate the URL with the token for the image. Like putting the token in the url in the template. I finally succeeded by hard code the full image path in the template with the token at the end and for the link I had to do the same in the URL:

Anyway, I'm glad it is working, but I don't know if this is the proper way to do it?

    Regards,
    Bert
