    Hello,

    I have the following scenario.

    - Registered user fills in a form
    - After submit the user is redirected to a page where the results are shown
    - User has the ability to change the values they have entered.
    - User has the ability to create a pdf from the form for download.

I created two pages. One for the data entry and one for the data view. Since every submit is a new record in the database I know that to see the results only the last submit record should be shown to the user.

    Is this possible?

    Greetings,

    Arjan

    Hello Arjan,

Yes this is without a doubt possible. This is a very common request.

You can use Dynamic Registration to use a Display after message to display the details they provided after submitting the registration form.

You can go to Module Configuration -> General Settings and check the box -> Display Message to user after initial Registration.

Then you need to go to Module Configuration -> Module Layout / Javascript / Stylesheet -> Header / Footer / System Messages, then from the combo box/drop down box select the "Display After Registration message". You will be presented with a WYSIWYG editor that you can provide tokens in to make it Dynamic to each user.

If you have any questions at all please let us know by emailing us at dnnsupport@datasprings.com

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hello Ryan,

Thank you for your quick response.

I created a new form and a registerd user is now able to fill in tjhe answers and submit the results to the database. He/she gets redirected to a page with a view of the results.

Is it possible to create a page where a user can surf and see the results, not only after submission but also at a later time? For your information. Submitted forms contain the userid which I put in as a hidden field.

    Greetings,

    Arjan

    Hi Arjan,

Yes... Usually this is handled with either Dynamic Forms (for an individual response) or usually for searching, sorting, filtering, and displaying these results this is where Dynamic Views comes into place (both for all users or just for the user to see the individual records they submitted).

    Thanks!

    Hello Chad,

I bought Dynamic view for this purpose. Thanks.

    One - I think - easy question...

I use DF to give users the ability to fill in the organizations they work for or have worked for. I want to give them the ability to edit and/or delete a filled in form. To do that I created a view with DV where all forms for that user are shown. I added a columns with an edit link (.../EditItem/True/EditId/{GUID}) but I do not know the correct syntax for a delete link.

    Can you help me here?

    Thanx,

    Arjan

    Hello Arjan,

I would suggest using the Dynamic Views Action to handle a deletion of a record within the Dynamic View.

Under Module Configuration you will find a section where you can define an action, save it, then use the action short name just like any other token and you will then have your delete working.

If you check out the Dynamic Views user guide you can find out how to configure an Action.

    http://datasprings.com/userguides/D...rGuide.pdf

Please do a CTRL -> F to find the actions section within the user guide.

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hello Ryan,

So you suggest to write a stored procedure to delete a submitted form and configure this procedure in a DV module?

I thought it must be possible with DF using querystrings similiar to the edit link I wrote in my earlier post.

    Greets,

    Arjan
