    1)If I use the $(email) token in the 'email to' field, the email will not send. if i replace the token with a valid email address, it works just fine.

    2)If i have anything in the 'from email name' field, the email will not send either.

    I am running DNN 6.00.01(310) on an Windows 7 machine using Dynamic Forms 4.0.01 trial edition.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am trying to determine if we should purchase this module or not.

    Hi Jim,

    This is an issue that popped up in DNN 5.6 and then again in DNN 6.0. This was fixed in DNN 6.0.2 but I recommend you upgrade to DNN 6.1.1 to make sure you have all the fixes.

    If you're unable to upgrade your DNN version at this time, please see Chad's comments on 1/26/2011 in this forum thread for a workaround:

    That did the trick. I didn't have to upgrade to DNN 6.1.1, but I may still do that anyway. FABULOUS job supporting your forums.

    Having somewhat the same problem... running DNN 5.6.5 and DF 4.0.11.

    The email address $(txtEmail) doesn't come through.. if i hardcode the to email to a real email address it works.. but the email body doesn't show ANY tokens in it.

    Same solution?? Upgrade DNN?

    Hi t-bone,

    That's strange and may be different from Jim's issue. Let me ask you a few questions to get the email out first:

    1. Are you using the token in the email FROM address or the email TO?

    2. The tokens are very case sensitive and it has to match the short field names exactly. Can you confirm that you're using the token exactly as it shows in your token list?

    3. Can you please try switching the email regex in Admin, User Accounts, Account Setting to this:
    \b[a-zA-Z0-9._%\-+']+@[a-zA-Z0-9.\-]+\.[a-zA-Z]{2,4}\b (Be sure there is no extra space after the last b)

    Let me know if the email still won't go out after trying these. Thanks!

    Yes, it was a TOTALLY different problem.. I inadvertently checked the box in "Module Configuration> General Settings" called "Do not save results to the database" when I was setting up the Dynamic Form. Unchecked it/saved settings and everything started working again. Found it after an exhaustive check of all the settings. Sorry!! Maybe some other person will find that useful if they're experiencing a similar problem.

    I'm having the same problem in DF 4.1 running on DNN6.1.1.  I can't see where to change the expression either. Any suggestions?

    ok, I changed the expression as per the earlier threads, but now if I try to register a new user, it will not accept the email address as being valid.  I have tried .co.uk; .com and .gov.uk extensions.

    The site is running DNN 6.1.4.

    Any suggestions?
