I am working with Dynamic Forms and wish to create a form which generates email based upon a particular selection. The issue with this is that my form is setup as a series of drop-down menus, or "combo boxes", the first of which determines the data in the second and that selection then determines the data in the third box.

To be more clear, it reflects an organization which contains 4 businesses, each of which have branches and each branch having locations. From this form a user might select business B in the first drop down, this yields 3 choices for branch. Upon choosing a branch, there are then a few choices of location for each branch, in the third and final drop down.

This all is easily configured and is SQL driven. The issue is this. Upon form completion the data needs to be sent to the manager of the selected location, which is derived from branch and company. While trying to setup the logic to do so I have no options in the locations combo box because its options are derived from other fields. Additionally, I am not given an option to type in a possibility of my own. The attached image should clearly indicate what it is I mean by this.

Is there a way for this to be accomplished?

    Thanks,
    Charles Nix

    Hi Charles,

How about you create an extra field that we'll call "SendEmail" for now. Then you can create a client side event to set the value of the $(SendEmail) field based on the selection made in the last dropdown. When setting your completion event, the trigger can be the $(SendEmail) field, instead of the dropdown.

    Hope that works for you!
