    Hi,

I was wondering if the tokens can be embedded in the href of an anchor? I tried it, and the tokens don't seem to be parsing.

    ie the following code:

    < a href="$(WebLinkURL)" >View this in a browser< /a >

doesn't seem to work (btw I put space in the tag so this forum post won't treat it like a link).

    However, if I do this:

    View this: $(WebLinkURL)

The token parses and I get the URL, but then the receiver sees this huge long URL.

Same thing with tokens like $(OptOutURL), when I tried to put the token in a href, it doesn't parse, but it does if I take it out of the anchor tab, it just renders with default text. I know I can change this text, but I want to be able to style the link text, different between different newsletters

    I'm using
    Opt in version 4.3.6.25561
    DNN version 5.6.2

I played around with the settings, and found that $(WebLinkURL) works in a href tag if I disable the Rich Text Editor, and render in HTML in Plain Text editor. However, this method doesn't work for the $(OptOutURL) token in the href tag! I'm not sure why the inconsistency. It does work if I just put the token by itself, but like I mentioned in the previous post, I'd like to avoid doing that because I can't customize the style of the link if I just use the token.

Additionally, if the user clicks on the link to view the email in a browser, the tokens do not get parsed, even if they were parsed in the email. i.e. in the email, the user sees "Click here to unsubscribe", but if they view it in the browser, instead they'll see "$(OptOutURL)". Is this a known bug?
