    Hello,

I've been tinkering around trying to integrate Salesforce with my Dynamic Forms module. When I saw this thread I was elated:

    http://www.datasprings.com/dnn-modu...sted#13451

However, the actual creation of this HTTP Post event hasn't been that easy. I used the same methodology as the above poster to craft my HTTP post, using the Salesforce field names first and the Dynamic Form field names second (IE : firstSFField=$(firstDFField)&secondSFField=$(secondDFField) and so on)

There is an email form completion event which process successfully, but the HTTP post does not.

I noticed in the referenced thread that the user claims to have been able to successfully integrate Salesforce and Dynamic Forms using Dynamic Forms 2.5... but at the end of the thread it says there was a bug that prevents this functionality and was rectified in version 3.1...

I'm currently using Dynamic Forms 2.6 on DNN 5.4.4...

Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated! Thanks and Happy New YEARS!!!

    Justin

    Hi Justin,

Yes this is pretty hard to tell as the 2.6 release of DNN is several years old and was also never tested against DNN 5.x (I am actually surprised you are not having other issues). I would probably enable Debug Mode to see more specifically what data is being sent as the post. I know the latest 4.0 release you can enable a setting to post a event into the log entry but I don't know if there is another way to get around this.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Chad,

Soooo I've updated my version of Dynamic Forms to the latest version to get this HTTP Post square... I'm trying to decipher where it's going wrong. I'm not getting anything in the "Post Results" field. Any reason why this might be the case?

I've attached a link of the Debug results for reference.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi Justin... At first glance, I see you have $(oid) there... normally whenever a post is processing you would never have a remaining $(token) that wasn't replace. Did you mean to do this field as a token? Do you have a field called OID on the form with that short field name? You might have meant to do something like "oid=somenumber"? Basically $(Tokens) that are wrapped around the $() are meant to replace fields on your form. So that is the first thing I noticed that didn't appear to be correct.

    Thanks,

    Chad

That's great! If you have time to write up any quick tutorial or how-to on your experiences and setup to get this working I would be happy to provide you with a discount or free upgrade for the next version... I can post this as a blog on our site so other users who have problems can quickly get it up and running.

    Thank!

    Chad

Please remind me for your next upgrade/edition this post and ill make sure to cover that upgrade on the home page... Ok, that was my cheesy (super cheesy) way of saying "cover that on the house. . Yikes... too much coffee today! LOL.

Here is your tutorial as a blog post:
