You guys helped me the first time - thought I would try this one:

I have a field in User Profile called [birthdate] which is visible in Dynamic View by using TempDUDPivot. (Thanks, Chad!).  This is in a datatype "Date".

For each user in my directory, I would like to convert the data in [birthdate] to the user's "age in years" and return it to the Dynamic View, preferably in another column.  My hope is that I can have this "age in years" update automatically based on the current date.

Any assistance would be appreciated.  Thanks.

    Jim

    Hello Jim,

I would recommend looking through Google for certain answers.

For instance it really depends on how you want to handle this. If you want to handle this with JavaScript on your Registration then I would recommend placing a hidden field on the registration form. When a brithday is provided, have an on Client side event that fires your JavaScript that takes a date and converts it to an int. Then you could create a profile property named Age and map this hidden field to that profile property. Age will now be available via the TempDUDPivot table.

You can take advantage of the function provided in this thread:

Or if you want to handle this via T-SQL inside of your Dynamic View, then I would recommend incorporating the script from this page into your Dynamic Views Custom SQL section:

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
