I would recommend looking through Google for certain answers.
For instance it really depends on how you want to handle this. If you want to handle this with JavaScript on your Registration then I would recommend placing a hidden field on the registration form. When a brithday is provided, have an on Client side event that fires your JavaScript that takes a date and converts it to an int. Then you could create a profile property named Age and map this hidden field to that profile property. Age will now be available via the TempDUDPivot table.
