I have installed a Dynamic Views module with the Custom SQL Query "Select * from TEMPDUDpivot where PortalID=0". This seems to be functioning fine and returns all the users in my directory.

I now want to filter the results to include only certain users from TEMPDUDpivot and have defined that filter under the Filter heading in the module configuration.  This filter is not functioning - my query returns all users in my directory.

Can I use the filter option in conjuction with a Custom SQL Query?  Please let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks

    Jim

P.S. - I am using the same filters in a User Directory module and they seem to function fine.

    Hi Jim,

Well Dynamic User Directory works very differently when it comes to filtering users by roles and/or some profile properties etc... What specific "Filter" configuration options have you defined? Where are you setting up the filter? You might include a screenshot so that we can get a better understanding.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Chad:

Thanks for the quick response.  Attached are some screen shots.

Image 1:  A screen shot of a few of the fields that are generated from my TEMPDUDpivot query.  I want to filter the fields "RegistrationYear" and "RefereeCat"

Image 2:  A screen shot of the filtering options I have defined.  I have validated both filters.

Image 3:  I have created a very simple table in my template to display only three fields as shown.

Image 4:  This is the output I get on my page.  As you can see, I'm getting users with RegistrationYear of 2011 and the RefereeCat field is returning both "R" and blank fields as well.

Image 5: This is the result I get when I run the same filter settings in User Directory.  I would just go ahead and use Directory instead of Views but I want to limit the fields available for download.

If you need any more information, please let me know.  Thanks for all of the help, guys.  I appreciate it.

    Jim

    Chad:

If all else fails, re-load. I reinstalled the Dynamic Views extension again and deleted and resinstalled the View module from scratch. The filter settings are working fine. Not sure what happened or what needed to be fixed but everything is working great. Thanks for the time.
