I've added a check box to the user registration form for people to opt-in to our newsletter, but the check box is showing up to the left of the label text. see here: http://screencast.com/t/b0hNhtumC6M How do I get this check box before the text?

    Hi Sandy,

Please edit the checkbox field and use the following setting:

    1. Display Label on checkbox field
    2. Set the Align Text to "Right"
    3. In Look and Feel, mark the "Hide field label"

    Thanks!

Thanks Candace. It didn't quite work, the text ended up below the check box instead: http://screencast.com/t/uc136CZzSPaf Do you know how to set this straight?

Can you please edit again and check in Look and Feel? Make sure you do not have it set for "field and label in the same column." Also please make sure to adjust your field width to suit your layout. Thanks!

Getting there... I didn't have the field and label in the same column selected, but I adjusted the field width to 600 and now the check box and text look right together. However, I can't get that field to align to the right of the form. It looks as though there is an empty column before the field for the label so it's kicking the field off to the right: http://screencast.com/t/BTQEsqT6ua3o I tried changing the colspan, but this didn't work.

Yes, we used the setting to hide the label and that empty area is where the label should be. You can choose to not hide the label but the checkbox will appear the right of the the text. Please try the different combinations and see what works best for you.

    Thanks!

I'd already tried every combination I could think of without success, which is what lead me to this forum. I wouldn't think that something as simple as having a checkbox to the left of the text aligned properly in a form would be so difficult. Hopefully someone can help... (but thanks for the advice, Candace!)
