    First question...

On my registration form I added a question field called "User ID"  and used the Quick Create Property link in the settings to create a core field from it. After doing this I was able to import 1200 users mapping information from an old database to that user id field.

Now when I go to manage users user_ID appears in the manage profile list of options. And the correct numbers are there, so that part worked

However I thought that i could do a token replacement that would be: [Profile:user_ID] that would pull in their ID number (I set the html module to do replacements) it doesn't work, it just displays the following error: Error accessing [Profile:user_ID], user_ID is unknown for datasource Profile.

So, my initial question is when you create a quick property, are you able to use those properties in replacements? Have i used the wrong code?

    Second question...

Long story but I have to use an iframe on a couple client support pages to get to a database driving asp page...and they want me to be able to pass that same field into the iframe. Anyone know if that is possible? Or if there is a way to do it in some other way besides an iframe? Can't really open in new window...

    thanks,
    Amy

    Hello Amy,

I'm having difficulty understanding your Second question.

Can you please answer the following questions:

1.) What do you mean by having a Database Driven page?

2.) They want you to pass what field into the iFrame?

I think answering these questions will help me understand what you're seeking.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Hey Ryan, I am sure I'm not explaining it well...but here is the situation:

    1. I created a user field on our registration form called user id, clicked the quick create property

    2. I imported 1200ish users with a unique number in that user id field. It shows up in the profile on user management page properly

    3. I have 4 new support pages which are calling an external .asp page (on a different server) via an iframe. The data in those frames is displayed based on what your user id # is (example, you see certain documentation from their database if your id number is 100 but different documentation if your id number is 500)

To test the pages they work fine if you put an id number into the iframe html, example:

    < iframe frameborder="no" src=" http://site.com/training/upcoming.asp?fromtyler=1&id=3571" height="600px" width="100%" title="" scrolling="auto">Your Browser Does Not Support Frames

    Need to do
    1. Need to make that iframe pass the user's ID from their profile (they only see pages when logged in) so basically how do I replace the manual ID # to call the field I created….or is it even possible? (any other way to do it, etc).
