I recently updated my dynamic registration form to include a drop down list which when an option list is selected, the form reloads with additional questions present (using the question events feature). While this process seems to work ok on user registration, now when an admin goes to the manage users page (ie: /default.aspx?TabID=103&Manage=True&UserID=1531) all of the fields (including firstname, lastname, address, etc) are empty even though the fields are mapped to a DNN field. I can confirm the user data does exist by going to the core dotnetnuke manage users screen.
Any suggestions as to why the fields are empty when editing users through Dynamic registration?
Paul

Hi Paul, Let me ask you a few questions: 1. What is your exact Dynamic Registration version? 2. What is your DNN version? 3. How are you getting to the Manage mode? By a link or by clicking on the Manage User button of the module? Thanks! Candace

Hi Candace, DNN 6.02.01 Dynamic Registration 4.20.11 I'm getting there by clicking the "Manage Users" link within the dynamic registration module, which brings me to the list of users; from there, I click the edit icon next to a user. Thanks! Paul |

So you click on the edit icon next to the user and you get back to Dynamic Registration with all the fields but all the fields are blank? That is very strange. Do the properties have values if you view them from Admin > User Accounts? Candace

Yes exactly, user data does exist by going to the core dotnetnuke manage users screen. I also confirmed if I disable the "Hide until forced visible by question events" feature so that the field appears on the first screen without requiring a postback, then the data appears properly. |

Hi Paul - Can you tell me what the field type is that fires this question event (such as a radio button, checkbox, combo box, etc...?). Also - If the user signs back in and you are not managing the user from the Manage Users page, does the question event fire correctly and does the module work as designed then for the user? Thanks, Chad

Hi Chad, it is a radio button with two options I used to fire the question event. It's the exact same symptom when a user goes to the page and selects one of the options - when the page reloads with the appropriate fields, they are all blank. Thanks, Paul |

Hi Paul - For the purposes of testing, can you tell me if you have the same problem using a combo box field type? Thanks, Chad |
