    Hi there

I have installed Dynamic Registration 4.20.11 on DNN 6.2.3  and can't work out how to run the setup wizard.

I have selected the fields I would like, but nothing happens when I click 'Run Wizard'

I have re-installed the module, but still have the same problem

I'm probably missing a simple step so any help would be appreciated

    Thanks!

    Dan

    Hi Daniel,

We just posted a new patch so please log into your DNN Store account, go to My Downloads and download Dynamic Registration 4.2.20. Please let us know if that clears the issue for you.

    Thanks!

    Hi Candace

Thanks for this, but I didn't have a DNN Store account. I do now.

Could you repost the patch please? Username daniel84

I forgot to add, that I am only using the trial version at the moment.

    Thanks

Oh, you're on the trial version! Okay, please go back to the Dynamic Registration page and download the trial version again. I just updated it with v4.2.20.

That's strange. Let me ask you a few questions:

    1. From the Control Panel, can you please click on the first Icon to manage questions. Do you see any questions existing within the dropdown?

    2. If you don't see any fields, can you please create from here the Username, Password, Confirm Password, First Name, Last Name, and Email fields ?

    3. If they're actually there, can you please go to DNN Core Integration (2nd icon from left in Control Panel) and make sure that the fields are mapped correctly.

Will watch for your next post. Thanks!

    Candace

    Hi Candace

    Thanks again for your response

I do have fields, but each field appears twice (attached)

I have checked and all the fields are mapped correctly. I have even re-mapped them to the duplicate field and it still isn't working.

I appreciate your help, I hope we can get this working as I'm sure it will solve a problem we are having

    Thanks again

Hi Dan - This sounds like maybe you ran the wizard twice? Like maybe when you ran the wizard you didn't realize it had created the fields do you ran it again and this is why you have two sets of fields?

I think the wizard does not exactly add any confirmation message when it completes so they could be confusing and possibly why you didn't know it had originally created them?

    Thanks,

    Chad

I finally got this working on a fresh DNN install and Chad you're right, I did run the wizard twice so thanks for that. The lack of a confirmation message threw me!

It still doesn't work on our live site and is throwing the same error. At least I can now test whether this module will help us out.

I'd still appreciate if someone can help with the error above as it looking very likely that we'll want to use this on our live site

    Thanks again
    Dan

Hi Dan - Thanks for the heads up. Can you tell me any specific differences that you know of between the live site and the dev site? Either way, I am sure we can review this further based on the error you posted as long as we can duplicate it. Keep in mind that the wizard doesn't have to be used either, you could setup the fields and configurations without the wizard (just in case this happens to be the only major issue you are having).

    Thanks,

    Chad
