I installed 4.20.20 registration module on a dnn 7.0 site--after running the wizard, the module and page doesn't seem to be working. I can't edit the page or use the module, the menu bar disappears and the ribbon bar (admin, host, etc) is not functioning.

    Hello Everyone,

Can you please let us know the specific issues that you're encountering? I'm certain that there are issues on the page.

We have several dozen clients running on DNN 7 and using Dynamic Registration 4.2.2 without any issues. In order to address this, we'll need to isolate the issues.

Can you please email Admin Credentials and the URL to the page with your Dynamic Registration module on it to rbakerink (at) datasprings (dot) com so I can review?

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Thanks Ryan, we've already sent outs to Chad last week. Look forward to seeing a resolution for anyone else posted here as well.

Hi guys... Richard, I know you were able to work with a work around on this. I have a few emails out related to this, from what I can tell there are conflicts with our module and DNN 7 related to jQuery.NoConflict(). I will respond by the end of the week once I hear back from some DNN folks.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hi all,

Just wanted to give an update on this issue. As Chad mentioned, the issue is more on the side of DNN 7 than on Dynamic Registration itself. They've just released DNN 7.00.02 and we're going to be testing this soon.

*** If any of you are already on this DNN 7.00.02 patch, please let us know if it fixed the issue. ***

Meanwhile there are a couple of things you can do.

    1. Navigate to a page where you don't have Dynamic Registration and then switch to Edit mode and then navigate back to your DR page. That should allow you to edit the module going forward.

    2. Also, as suggested by Yehuda Tiram from this thread, you can go to Host > Host Settings > Other Settings and change from ControlBar to RibbonBar.

Hopefully, these workarounds help most of you. Thanks!

Nothing is working and now when I login, the popup login does not disappear and the web site continues on the popup. Also another suggestion about changing/adding runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests=true in modules in web.config does not work as well.

Does dnn normally take this long to fix one of your issues? It looks like this has been going on for a while.

    Hi kcs,

I'm sorry you're having trouble. DNN is pretty responsive but some issues may take longer to fix because aside from their own extensions, there are hundreds of module vendors that could also be affected. We're also reviewing options to take on our end.

In the meantime, let me first understand what the exact problem is. When you load Dynamic Registration on a page, you are not able to edit the module and use other DNN functions on the page, however, you can edit on other pages that don't have Dynamic Registration. Is that correct?

If yes, let's try deleting this module from your page. Then make sure that your Host > Host Settings is on Ribbonbar. Go back to your page and then add it back in. For now, let's put it on a page by itself so we can eliminate other conflicts.

Are you able to edit? What happens at this point?

If not, please go to a page without Dynamic Registration, switch the mode to Edit and then go back to your DR page. Now, are you able to edit?

I realize you may have already done these steps but I want to go step by step so we can possibly find where you're getting stuck. Thanks!

I don't understand; what about Collin's response back on January 2nd? I sounded like you had what you needed to address this back then? It was submitted to Chad and identified. So nothing was done weeks ago? The same thing that happened weeks ago is happening to me too. Come on. Haven't you recreated the problem? Did you try?

    Hi Guys

i'm also experiancing the same problem and i see you haven't found posted a solution yet, please advice on how we can fix this issue.

I've created a new installation of dnn 7.0.3 and installed dynamic registration 4_20_20 and i'm experiancing the same issue as the other guys that can not edit the module and also the drop down of child pages doesn't work.

    Regards
    David

    Hi David,

We have a Dynamic Registration 4.2.30 patch that fixes this issue. If you have the Collection 6.0 or the User Management 2.0, please log into your DNN Store account and get this from My Downloads.

If you purchased Dynamic Registration 4.2 individually, please go to Patches to download this file.

    Thanks!

I'm trying 4.2.3 with DNN 7.0.6 and after adding the registration module to a page nothing happens when you click the Run wizard button on the first page of the wizard.

After changing from ControlBar to RibbonBar, the registration fields page displayed. This appears because the module is no longer in edit mode. As soon as I go back into edit mode the 'Run Wizard' button doesn't work. So changing the menu style is not a fix.
