Generally the "Sister" product to Dynamic Registration is "Dynamic User Directory" and typically even if you want to reference the user data with a very custom interface you would want to install and utilize the scheduler / table that Dynamic User Directory creates called "TempDUDPivot". If you run a query against that (using Dynamic Views) then you will see all of the user data you can query against and setup the template for etc...
Dynamic User Directory is usually perfect though,and is really meant to be the reporting module for Dynamic Registration. You would only need to use Dynamic Views to query against that table if you needed something more specific.
You can also reference three querystring parameters within Dynamic Views called DSParam1, DSParam2, and DSParam3. You might want to check out the user guide because you can also hide the search and pass search variables in via the querystring. I would search the user guide for "HideSearch" and you will see some examples within the Dynamic Views user guide for this.
