I hope someone can help -

I'm having trouble with my dynamic registration form in that, for people to register on my site, I require them to select a company they belong to from a list. So I set up a Comb field and linked in the list using the SQL tool.

In the advanced field options I selected that it should also link to the DNN core field 'Organisation', assuming that this would automatically populate the Organisation field in the DNN Core database, however this doesn't seem to be the case.

When I then go to authorise a user after they have registered, the organisation field in the 'User accounts' area of normal DNN is blank - indicating that it hasn't populated the database correctly. If I then set this manually, the field in DR, defaults to the first value.

Any suggestions? I'm relatively new to this but I haven't been able to find a solution in the literature.

    Cheers

    Phil W.

Hi Phil - A couple of quick questions here:

    1.Do other fields update properly?
    2. Is this profile property within DNN a text field type? I think in order to map fields properly you must be mapping the data to a "TEXT" or "INTEGER" field type.
    3. Do you have username, password, and confirm password setup under the DNN Core Integration area?

    Thanks,

    Chad

Yes the other fields are fine - but they're standard text fields, and the username, password and confirm password are setup correctly. I'm guessing its this issue with mapping to a text field, I think the DNN Organisation field is using a list - slightly irritating, but I can work around that - thanks for the help.

    Phil
