I'm using Dynamic Forms 4.10.4 with DotNetNuke 6.2.5.

I'm trying to create an Email Completion Event that includes the currently logged in user's DisplayName, Username and Email address.

In a Text module, I would use the standard DNN tokens [UserisplayName], [User:Username] and [User:Email] to access these standard values. Does Dynamic Forms provide access to these standard tokens in an Email Completion Event?

I suppose one work-around would be to include these values as hidden fields in the form, but that seems like more work than should be necessary.

    Hello Larry,

You should be able to use $(UserName), $(DisplayName) as these are built in DNN tokens in Dynamic Forms.

When it comes to Email Address. You can try using $(Email) but if this doesn't work, then add a hidden field with a SQL Default Value of:

Select Email As DefaultValue from Users where UserID = '$(UserID)'

You can do this for other property types too. For instance, maybe you want to know the last known activity date for that user. You can add a Hidden field and use the SQL Default Value to obtain this value from the Users table.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

I was not able to use any built-in DotNetNuke tokens in the body of the email (or anywhere else for that matter) unless I created hidden fields for them.

    For example, I tried:
    1. $(UserName)
    2. $(UserUserName)
    3. $(User:UserName)
    4. $(User_UserName)
    5. [User:Username]  (this is the official DotNetNuke token)
None of these seem to work.

Please add this as a request for the future. I would fully expect to be able to use the standard DotNetNuke tokens in addition to the custom Dynamic Forms tokens.

    Thanks!

    Larry
