    Gents,

I have a combobox with values from sql:

select COLUMN1 as QuestionOption ,ID as QuestionOptionValue from table1 where ...

I have a hidden field on the form and I want to give them the value ID of the selected item. is there is a trick in order to achieve this?

    Thanks,
    Hicham.

Hi Hicham - So the hidden field is separate from the combo box field you are setting up with that query right?

So if the combo box field had a short field name of MyComboBox and the hidden field had a short field name of MyHiddenField then you could create a client side event and possibly also add the same JavaScript into the "Initial JavaScript" in case there was a postback and you wanted to keep the value.

The client side event and JavaScript in the initial JavaScript would then likely be:
    $(MyHiddenField) = $(MyComboBox)

That would set the value of the hidden field equal to the value of the combo box field. You might want to also set that same JavaScript on the hidden field even.

    Thanks,

    Chad
