    I would like to put a pretty button on my form whose href url would be pulled out of the database dependent on the choice of fields above it on the form. I can make the button image, and I can pull the data from the database.

    What field type would I use to display that button?

    Which field type would I use if it were only a text-based hyperlink?

    I'd also like to include the hyperlink in the email that the form is generating when the form is submitted.

    Thanks a bunch.

    PS. I have not used the HTML Button field yet, I haven't figured out how to use it.

    Hello Whetstone,

    You may need to use two fields for this.

    Field 1.)
    Create a Hidden field on your Dynamic Form. Let's say that the short field name = 'DynamicURL'. This field will need SQL Default value that pulls in the Hyperlink you were talking about. Sample Query:

    Select Column1 As DefaultValue from YourTable where .....

    Be sure to return a column named DefaultValue, otherwise this feature won't work. Make sure that this field has a lower sort order than the next Question.

    Field 2.)

    Add a Question of type Text/HTML. Use HTML to build an anchor tag wrapped around image. The HREF of the anchor tag will use the URL returned from the Hidden field.

    href="$(DynamicURL)"

    You can then use $(DynamicURL) in your email completion event.

    Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
