I am trying to figure out how I can have a form that posts its contents to a new mail message (like Java Mailto). I have a form that has a few textboxes and a drop down where the user selects a DNN user from a dropdown list. When they click submit, it will popup a new mail message using the Outlook client (we all have Outlook) and the new message will have the fields included in the message body.
The reason I need to send from the local client is to keep the email behind our firewall. Not generated from the web server.

Any Ideas from minds more brilliant than mine?

    Hi Matt,

You could possibly setup a mailto hyperlink in the display after message and include all of the details for the subject and body in the display after message? I am not really sure how you would make it automatically pop up though.

    Thanks,

    Chad

I have been doing some testing, but can't get the session variables to be picked up by Java. I'll have to come up with some other method.
