Can't go into Edit Mode

    I have several Dynamic Forms that are quite elaborate that were developed on DNN 6.x.  I am not able to put these pages into Edit mode to make any changes on DNN 7.x.  

    Oddly if I switch to back and forth to the ribbon bar I can get into Edit mode but still can't actually do any editing of the form.  I have also tried to export and then re-import to see if a new page is a work around, no success.  Redoing the forms would be about 20-30 tedious hours of work so finding a solution is critical.

    Hello Doug,

    If you use a tool like Google Inspector or FireBug for FireFox, do you find any issues on this page with the imported Dynamic Form??

    What version of Dynamic Forms was this developed in?

    Have you tried going to another page where you can edit, and check the box "Stay in Edit Mode", then navigate back to the imported Dynamic Form page? Is this page now in edit mode?

    If not, there are JavaScript issues on the page that are breaking the Edit framework. I don't have enough information to know if Dynamic Forms is causing this issue. Are there other modules on this page? Are you using a Custom Skin??

    Google Inspector or FireBug for FireFox will show you all errors on the page which will more than likely give you an idea as to where the issues are originating from.

    I was able to get into edit mode and make a test change using your "Stay in Edit Mode "work around. There are no other modules on the page, just the Data Springs. This is a custom skin.

    Turns out a prior developer on the page put some custom javascript into the module which obviously didn't work. Thanks for the troubleshooting pointer.
