    Hi -
    I am trying to dynamically show/hide the Submit button, however, I cannot get it to work correctly. Here's what I've done:
    • I have a hidden form called AuthenticationResults that calculates a default value of either 1 or 0. If the value is 1, the Submit button should display, otherwise it should remain hidden.
    • I have ticked on the 'Initially hide the form submission button'.
    • I added the client side event code to the AuthenticationResults field (see attached txt file for the code.  dnn_ctr82284_DynamicForms_lnkSave is the id of the Submit button).
    • The Submit button, however, remain hidden for a value of both 1 and 0. And I can tell from the hidden field Control Panel that the AuthenticationResults field is defaulting to 1, which should show the submit button.

    Please advise, and thank you in advance.

    BTW, my DynamicForms / DNN version is Ver:4.10.0.5601 / 6.2.6.

    Hello Mark,

    You may want to enable a tool such as FireBug or Google Inspector to see if there are any JavaScript errors being caught.

    Anytime you receive unexpected results, this is typically related to a logical or syntactical error in your script.

    Just to be sure, I would create a function like this:


    function HideShowButton(AuthResultsFieldID)
    {

    if ( document.getElementById(AuthResultsFieldID).value == '1' )
    {
    document.getElementById('dnn_ctr82284_DynamicForms_lnkSave').style.display = '';
    }
    else
    {
    document.getElementById('dnn_ctr82284_DynamicForms_lnkSave').style.display = 'none';
    }

    }


    Upload this function to your Custom JavaScript file of your Dynamic Form, or include this function somewhere on the page using a script injecting module.

    The function call will look like this:

    HideShowButton( $(AuthenticationResults_FieldID) );


    Be sure to completely refresh the page after uploading these changes(CTRL + F5).
