    i am using dynamic form module in dnn site.when i create question event to bind value in checkbox but it return single value. please let me know how to bind checkbox group from sql query with the help of question event.i am trying to solve such problem but not successed. my sql query is given below:-

    Select speakerid As DefaultValue from tblselectionspeaker where empid=$(BindVal)

    please help me how to bind checkbox group in question event dynamic form module.Thanks in advance.

    Hello Mandeep,

    Let's take a look at this query:

    Select speakerid As DefaultValue from tblselectionspeaker where empid=$(BindVal)

    Checkbox groups allow for multiple selections. If you end up making multiple selections the value of the Checkbox group will become a Comma Separated List.

    If you feed a comma separated value into your Question event that matches up with the Checkbox values in your Checkbox group, does it bind appropriately? From my experience, it should.

    Let's say that your checkbox group values are:

    Checkbox 1 is value of "1"
    Checkbox 2 is value of "2"
    Checkbox 3 is value of "3"

    Then try this query(hardcoded):

    Select '1,2,3' As DefaultValue

    Does the Question Event bind this information to the Checkbox group now? I know this works with Initial SQL Binding.

    Hello Mandeep,

    You can't use 1 Question Event to control multiple Checkbox groups.

    A Question Event that you can SET Default value, is only applied to 1 question on the form.

    Is that what you're trying to achieve?

    Hello Ryan,

    One thing clear me please how i can fil all checkbox with the help of question event based on sql query. my problem is when i select value from dropdown the values are come from sql and all checkbox will be filled but it is nit happen accuratly.. please revert back me how i can solve such a problem.

    Hello Mandeep,

    Can you please let me know how this is not accurate? Is it possible that you have multiple checkboxes with the same value?

    Please give me the details of your checkbox group and which checkboxes are being checked once your Question Event fires. Let me know why the checkboxes checked are not what you expected.
