    Hi,

I am trying to generate a report from the Form data (data submitted and stored in the database).

Please point me to any resource.

Also, how to format the Excel sheet exported in the "View Form Results" page please?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Vijay

    Hello Vijay,

Dynamic Forms will store it's form submission results into DynamicForms_QuestionResponse. This table links to DynamicForms_Question based on DynamicQuestionID.

Within the DynamicFOrms_QuestionResponse table, the UniqueResponseID column is responsible for dictating a single form submission. This means that a single submission will have 1 record per question on the form. So if there are 10 questions on your Dynamic Form, there will be 10 records in the DynamicForms_QuestionResponse table for that submission.

Please note that the relationship between DynamicForms_Question and DynamicForms_QUestionResponse is 1 to many.

There is no way to customize the layout for the Export to Excel of the View Form Results. This is always going to be a tabular export.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Thank you!!

I am seeking help from a friend who has good SQL skills. He is not familiar with DNN and Dynamic Forms; but he has excellent SQL and .NET skills. He is asking me to give the exact table name associated with my specific Form.

I also have the Data Viewer module; but it is NOT displaying the list of Dynamic Forms module instances on my portal.

So, he wants to directly connect with my DNN database and the Table associated with my Form.

Please let me know where I can that?
    1. I can give SQL Database connection string from web.config (databse userid and password)
    2. Do I need to give my hosting account access also?
    3. Table associated with my Form instance?

Sorry, I may be asking very basic questions

    Cheers,
    Vijay

    Hello Vijay,

Yes if you go into your DNN's Web.Config under Host -> Configuration Manager, you can obtain the Connection String information to your DNN database.

Once you provide the connection string information to your friend, he should be able to use this information to connect to your DNN Database. Within your DNN Database you'll find the DynamicForms_Question and DynamicForms_QuestionResponse tables.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
