I have setup a search field that populates a dropdown menu based on a sql query. Is it possible to populate another dropdown menu based on what is selected in the first?

    Ex.

    Hello Brett,

Unfortunately this isn't possible with Dynamic Views only.

An alternative route that can be tricky, is that you use a Dynamic Form to act as the Search Filters of a Dynamic View. When you submit the Dynamic Form, you pass all of the values via Querystring to the same page. This will enable the Dynamic View to map the Querystring values to Search Filters inside of the Dynamic View.

The Querystring names and Dynamic View Search Filter column name must be identical for this mapping to occur.

Then you'll need to explore the Allow Free Form feature in Dynamic View which actually disables the default behavior of Dynamic View Search Filters. So at this point you're using Dynamic View Search Filters to collect the values from the Dynamic Form and to include those values in your Dynamic View Custom SQL Query(data source).

This process requires several steps and if not all steps are configured correctly, this will not work.

If you're interested in receiving assistance with this, I would recommend looking into our Premium Integration Services:

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
