    Hi,

I need to dynamically build an email message from the form data and some additional logic and text blocks.  What would be the best way to accomplish this?  Can a SQL completion event update a hidden form field?  Can a dynamic email event run javascript?

    Thanks in advance,
    Tony Green

    Hi Tony,

The details of your email event can vary depending on tokens used based on the fields on your form. For example, you can have something like this and the email will render with whatever value the token has from the form.

Hello $(FirstN). We're excited that you chose to be part of the $(ProgramName). $(ProgramDirector) is available for any questions you might have.

Otherwise, if you need the entire email to be different, you can choose to create several email events based on a specific response on the form.

As an alternate option, you might use a client side event using javascript to set the content as a value in a Message field and then in the email event, use something like this:

    Hi $(FirstN),
    $(Message)

You can set the Message field as a hidden field later on when you're sure that everything is working correctly. However, because jscript can be very touchy, I would prefer the first 2 options before going this route.

Hope that helps. Let us know how that works out for you. Thanks!

    Candace
