Our college website is large and we have many
security roles defined to enable various employees appropriate access to manage
content and modules all over the site depending on their needs and
capabilities.
An Admin and an Author
security role exist for each department. Example: the library has
NV-Web-Library-Admin and NV-Web-Library-Author security roles.
Various employees have been added to similar
security roles site wide. Assignment to each security role is managed in Active
Directory and permissions are synchronized with DNN at user login.
Our library
admins needs to be able to edit/manage the Form Completion Events for each of
the library’s forms.
Modules Settings > Permissions have been
set to give the security role that they are a member of Full Control (in fact, all of the options are green
checked - Edit Content, Delete, Export, Import, Manage Settings, Full Control).
Problem:
While logged in as one of these admin users
it appears their role can now edit any of the form attributes except the Form
Completion Events.
-
When
an existing event ‘Email_Results(Email)’ is selected the view refreshes
but all of the inputs and options are grey and not editable.
-
When
the ‘-New Event-‘ menu option is selected the view refreshes but again all
of the inputs and options are grey and not editable.
While logged in as a Host I have full access
to managing any Form Completion Event and the inputs and options are not grayed
out.
I want to make it possible for any employee
that I add to an appropriate security group to have full admin rights to manage
their forms. I cannot simply make them
DNN Admin as that would give them access to other parts of the site that they
are not responsible for and should not have access to.
Is there a setting to adjust to allow a make
this possible?
