    Greetings,

I am displaying a table of records using the Custom SQL Query and the "Allow Free Form Query" option selected. However, when I click on "View Details" it only shows the first record. When trying to view the details of an older record, the ID changes in the URL, but it still only displays the first record.

It looks like I am not the only one who has experienced this issue.

The DynamicForms_ResultsID is set as the Primary Key in both the module and the SQL table.

We're using Dynamic Views 3.10.10 and DNN 7.0.6.

Is this a bug in the module or is there a setting I can select to fix this?

    Thanks,
    jed

    Hi Jed,

I would check the user guide related to the free form query. When you use the free form query will need to modify the query to actually reference when there is no primary key (to show all records) or when you just want to pull one in. I would search for "Free form query" in the user guide for instructions.

    Thanks,

    Chad

    Hi Chad,

Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear. The main view of records displays just how we want it, pulling all of the records and ordering them exactly how the query is written.

The problem is that we want to be able to view the details of each record. When the View Details link is clicked for any record, the details of the first record are always returned regardless of the record ID. The URL for the View Details can show ID 5, 10, or 50 (for example) but the details displayed are only for the most recently created record.

This has ended up a moot point as I found a work around for our issue without using the Free Form Query option, but it still seems to be odd behavior.

    Thanks,
    Jed
