Using DR 5.0.0.0 on DNN 7.0.4..

Have a simple registration form.. first, last, username, password, email... username/password/email all save to the DNN profile. All fields are mapped to their CORE counterpart... but First/Last names do not save. I noticed some other posts on it, but didn't seem as if any had solutions.

Tried just about everything I can think of:
    - create new first / last fields with FirstName & LastName as shortfield names (to see if that mattered)
    - create hidden fields that are mapped to core values
    - checked event log for errors
    - checked for java script errors in the module

Out of ideas... any help would be appreciated.

Hi - These fields are considered in DNN as "User Credential" fields as well as profile fields. So you might need to make sure you have them mapped under "DNN Core Integration" section AND also under "Advanced Field Options" within the DNN Core field section. Are they mapped in both areas?

    Thanks,

    Chad

Not sure if this is the correct way to do it.. but it's a workaround that worked for me.

I combined 2 of the things i tried above (hidden fields + extra first & last name).

First, i added the extra first/last name fields.. mapped them to the DNN core values.. then added client side events on my "real" first last names.. that set those values. Once I verified that it did save the first/last names.. i made my extra first/last name fields "hidden" fields.

Kinda janky.. but it seems to work now.

Yeah.. they're mapped in both places.. Core and Advanced.

Spoke too soon.. I don't see an area/section under "advanced" that allows me to map the first/last names..

But my janky solution works anyway.

Hi - This is under Advanced Field options (for each and every question). Right under where you specify a default value.

    Thanks,

Oh.. yep.. both are marked for their respective values of DNN.
