Credit Card Processing error.(TESTMODE) Credit card expiration date is invalid.

    I have 2.5 installed, set up with auth.net to process payments.  I can run a mastercard and visa with the expiration dates in january.  I have two other visa cards that I have tested with the expiration dates of other years.... 5/10 and 11/10 and I get the following error when the payment is submitted......

    (TESTMODE) Credit card expiration date is invalid.

    Any thoughts... I have the fields that are passed to auth.net set up as a date field, directly from DF.

    The first two cards get processed fine.. the others do not.. and I am running LIVE.  not in test.

    Help...

    Hmm... Well if you are running in live mode it shouldn't be showing (TESTMODE) for one thing... I will review this and start to test on our end. If its working with January and not May or November it would have to be an issue with how the exp date is rendering. Can you duplicate this here:

    Hi,

    Well maybe I should clarify more

    I remember before you were actually running off of the beta so you might first make sure you are running on the actual release. If needed please open a support ticket on Snowcovered and we can actually test this directly on your site.

    Its not exactly testing, its really letting us know the difference between the working demonstration and your implementation. There are a number of scenarios, for example are you running on standard gateway or developers gateway, test mode or not test mode, are you using the date field which is a dropdownlist of months and years or the textbox with calendar date type, what specifically are the parameters you are using in Authorizenet additional parameters area etc... Authorizenet requires the date to be in a specific format so I doubt you will be able to use the date textbox (probably would have to just use the regular textbox with a date regular expression) or use the dropdownlists as we are using in the demonstration link. On our end though I will begin researching with some test credit cards and determine what expiration dates could be causing an issue.

    The date seems to work now... but, the process still runs in test mode..

    You can't see it.. it produces no errors to users and gets sent to auth.net, but it sends some info to them to process in test mode.

    I have "both" test mode configurations unchecked in general settings.... the  process runs, I have authorize.net set to run live, but the process get's overridden by something in the DF software.  I talked with authorize.net and they confirmed that my setup with them is set up to go live, but DF is causing the process to run in TEST.

    Any Ideas??

    I just wanted to follow up on this. We did find a bug where the system was in test mode regardless of the setting. We have updated this with a patch now and will be updating the files on Snowcovered and Patches and Fixes on Snowcovered.

    The last fix that you sent me did the trick.  I am now accepting credit card payments online via my registration module.  It now works as advertised.  Thanks for the good work Chad.

    For anyone reading these forums I would like to personally thank Chad at Data Springs for his prompt forum/email responses.  Throughout the dnn community I have dealt with many vendors... some good and some not so good.  Chad at DataSprings knows his product and does what ever it takes to make sure that it will work in your configuration.

    Datasprings is what they say they are... and have a good track record to prove it.

    Thanks again.
