    i've followed the user document that came with the news ticker and created a list that has a title and body, but the news ticker wont display anything in the list. any one know what the problem could be?

    Hi. Is this the standard news ticker or Flash News Ticker? Also, can you attach a screenshot of your settings. Do you have a background color set?

    Umm.. Do you have any custom skin/container that might cause a conflict? If you change the skin for this just page back to the standard DNN skins does it work then?

    all the backgrounds for the page layout are set to transparent, and i haven't changed the skin. my settings are the exact same as they are in the users manual, i even named the list i was using MyNews to match the settings.

    Hi. Please setup a test page with the same settings on Beta Springs (www.betasprings.com, you can login as host with a password of dnnhost). If it works there then we should look still to make sure there i no conflict with your skin or container / DNN version or anything like that (you can also open up a support ticket and we will go to the site to review)

    the settings worked on www.betasprings.com, but also when i was looking at the settings on my site, i changed the background color to black and it did change it on my site, so i think it has something to do with access to the list its trying to read, is there any specific permissions that need to be set up?

    yeah everything looks fine with the list, i have no problems adding and viewing items i've placed in it.

    Hi,

    At this point please go ahead and open a support ticket for this case and please provide us with temporary edit rights to the page. We can follow up with this thread again when we determine what was causing the problem.
