In order to make the news ticker look good on a page with other modules, it would be nice to be able to do one of both of the following:

    1. Set the width in percent instead of pixels. Then I could specify a width of 100% and have it stretch as wide as the pane it is in.

    2. Center the news ticker in the pane.

Currently you must specify the width in pixels, and it aligns to the left. This doesn't look very good when you have other modules (i.e. an image or some text) within the same pane, and doesn't accommodate different screen widths (or browser window widths) very well. The result is less than professional looking.

    Thanks.

Hi. Yes unfortunatly the javascript involved does require you to specify a fixed width and height and this cannot be a percentage. We will review this for future releases and also determine what would be necessary to have the module display centered etc... Just to confirm, does it matter if you go into the module settings and choose 'Center' there instead of aligning to the left?

Changing the module settings to centered doesn't affect it at all. In fact, I've never figured out what that option is supposed to accomplish, since it doesn't seem to affect any module.
