I am attempting to use images as the background for each side of my cube. I know that the images I am attempting to use are 80px by 80px, so I have set the Cube Size to 80 and have also tried 81. Each time I click "Update Face Settings" after I set the image and then click the "Update" link at the bottom of the "Edit Flash Info Cube Settings... " page. That face of the cube will show as solid black, not the image I selected.
I am not sure the module is saving the "Background" properly when using "Image" as the option because when I go back into look at "Face Settings" for that same face again it always shows that the "File Location" is not what I set it to, always shows "Root" and the "File Name" for the background image as "Not Specified".
I am running on DNN 4.9.0.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Can anyone else at least confirm if they can make the background images work with this module or have the same problem?
Thanks! |

Kerry,
Can you attach a screenshot of your settings? I create a quick test page here, just added the module to a page and then changed the 1st cube to use a background. Maybe there is a slight version difference on Beta Springs then from yours? Are you choosing a JPG image only?
I do think that might be an issue when editing/updating where it losing the image selected... But as far as displaying the image, as long as its a JPG image the cube should render it properly.

Below are the screen shots for my settings. I looked around in the files for the Flash Info Cube, but I could not tell, is there a way to tell what the version is?

Hi Kerry, Do you still need help with this issue? You can find your module version under Host, Module Definition. Candace |

I'm having the same problem, except I get a transparent background with the 0% loaded (even if I have show progess unchecked.)
I'm using DNN 4.9.4, with vers 1.1 of the Flash info cube. Did you ever find out what was caused it? I tried the image as a gif and as a png file. Is there a particular graphic format we need to use? Does it need to be jpg?
Thanks. |

Suzanne, Hi. Can you try some of your same settings on www.betasprings.com? Also, is Flash Info Cube running on your local host environment or is this on a live site we could check it out at? -Chad |

OK. So, it appears the image has to be in the root directory? It works only if I put it there.

Thanks, we willcheck out the root image issue and see if we can duplicate it. As far as gif, yes Flash cannot read gif images so any images will need to be JPG images only. Thank you for your feedback. -Chad |

Did this issue ever get resolved??? I just tried to add background images to the faces (yes, they are jpg files) and I too got the transparent face with 0% displayed. I also have the problem where it will not save the background image information.
The previous postings are about a year old, how come this is STILL a problem??? |

It does work if the image is in the portal root directory. You also have to be careful that it fits the dimensions of the cube face, of course. Still doesn't seem to work if the image is in any other directory on the site. If you haven't already done so, another thing to look at might be the color type. Best if it's RGB I think ... |
